Our team has over 30 years of combined Society of Master Saddlers Qualified Saddle Fitters experience, that ensures we have the knowledge to provide the best fit for you and your horse.
We have three Society of Master Saddlers Qualified Saddle Fitters, a Master Saddler, a Master Saddle Fitter as well as a Society of Master Saddler’s Qualified Harness Maker.
The Society of Master Saddlers has established the most comprehensive training scheme world-wide that sets the standards for good fitting practise and excellent service for horse and rider.

Laura originally trained as a Society of Master Saddlers’ Saddler at Capel Manor College, going on to the Saddlery Training Centre and completing a Modern Apprenticeship in Saddlery, passing all level 3 Society of Master Saddlers’ exams in saddle making, bridle work and harness making.
Laura then gained her Society of Master Saddlers’ Qualified Saddle Fitter’s qualification, and after 10 years of service became recognised as a Master Saddler.

Laura has worked in the equine industry for a number of years and comes from a background of equine groom and owning ponies and horses for her daughters.
As a customer, Laura is your main point of contact. She is on hand to answer queries, liaise with suppliers, arrange appointments and ensures everything at the saddlery runs smoothly. Having two ‘Lauras’ in the team may be a challenge so this one may also be known as ‘office Laura’!
You will find our superb saddle fitting facilities near Exeter and just 10 minutes from junction 30 of the M5. We have a purpose-built saddle studio that leads on to our consultation area with two indoor stables that allow your horse to settle before we start.
This has direct access to our beautiful indoor arena, that is complete with a superb Martin Collins surface, that means the fit of your saddle can be thoroughly checked and tested in any weather.
Our studio stocks a large number of saddles which means there’s an extensive range for you to choose from and try, during your consultation.
